To rent a car with Getaround, you must be eligible, create your profile, and verify your account. See below for some information on the conditions that note license requirements.
Check your rental eligibility
Firstly, to hire a vehicle with Getaround you should check your eligibility, this will ensure that your profile will be verified. To rent a car, you need to meet certain conditions so that your trip is covered by insurance every time. Here is a snapshot of the conditions concerning license requirements with eligibility.
Eligibility terms you need to reserve a vehicle:
- You must be at least 19 years old.
- Drivers under age 21 must have a clean driving record. This means you have no more than two violations or accidents combined in the past three years. Additionally, you have had no major violations in the past three years. Major violations are defined by state law and may include driving with a suspended or expired license, providing false or counterfeit documents, and engaging in speed contests.
- Have a valid driving license for the country in which you're renting, including the original document (copies, declarations of loss, or provisional licenses are not accepted) . If you have a foreign license, there may be additional requirements.
- Have no alcohol/ drug-related incidents in the past seven years.
- Be present for the check-in and the checkout.
- Be able to pay for the rental with a credit card in your name.

- Upload photos of your original license (front and back).

- Check that your personal information is accurate. Your birth date, license number, and all the information in your account need to match your ID and license.
