The owner claimed I scratched the car, which never happened. He then asked me to "settle it personally" rather than go through getaround, i.e. he was trying to threaten me into sending him money outside the app. Surely this is against the rules? I have screenshots to prove this. Obviously that left a bad taste in my mouth. The car, on the other hand, was perfect. It was immaculately clean and we had no issues with it whatsoever.

Getaround recommends that, when a minor issue occurs during a rental, such as the small scratches on the front bumper, the owner and renter try to settle the matter outside the platform. I was just trying to let you know about this recommendation.
