I rented the car for 4 days with a 23.30 return time. I understood this was late so I asked the owner did it suit better for morning as I had to exchange the keys. The owner later confirmed a 9am return was fine due to a 10am booking while stating it was no issue or difference on there part. After returning the car and completing checks, I was unexpectedly charged an additional €166, despite already paying €144 for the rental. The owner advised this charge was automatic and that he would confirm a refund with Getaround as he agreed a later time for drop off. I wasn’t aware of charges especially not €166 for 10 hours when the car was €144 for 4 days.
The owner wrote to me in message and to my face that he would confirm a refund but now I have a message to say he didn’t agree. I have all the evidence of the agreed time and that the owner was happy with that. When I called Getaround they said if I send evidence they would refund. After me trusting the owner he rejected. Disappointed !
