Unlocking the Car :

Unlock it using the Getaround app by starting your trip. Make sure your phone's Bluetooth is enabled. When you leave the car during the trip, always take your phone and car key with you so you can unlock car. This is crucial if no one else is inside to unlock it for you, as some cars may automatically lock a few seconds after you exit. You may call getaround 24hr support via app during the trip to unlock car for you as well if needed.

Automatic Notifications :

You shall expect to receive detailed parking information and technical details about the car via the app, along with additional information sent to your email approximately 30 minutes before your booking starts. Please check both your email and the app, and review all sections before reaching out to customer support to help streamline any resolution, if needed.

TECHNICAL TROUBLESHOOTING tips:

If alarm goes on, you can stop it by get in the car, press brake and press start button. Alarm button in key wont stop the alarm. Car has several enhanced security layers.

Car has enhanced security. So If the engine is not starting by any chance follow the steps below :

1) If the engine not starting, make sure you unlock it via the app and then try to start again.

2) If the car doesn't start after unlocking with the app, pressing the brake, and you hear a ticking sound, take the key from the sun visor. Press the unlock icon on the key to stop the ticking, then try starting the car again by pressing the brake and the push button.

3) Lock and Unlock rear doors centrally: There is a lock unlock icon lit on the center dashboard. You may press the button next to it to lock and unlock doors as well.

4) When you leave the car, always take your phone with you so you can unlock it using the Getaround app. This is crucial if no one else is inside to unlock it for you, as some cars may automatically lock a few seconds after you exit.

Q: Where is this car located?

A: As shown in the Getaround app location map. The get-around system shall send you detailed address info 45 min closer to your travel time.

Q. How to Open Trunk ?

A. Press the unlock button on the center dashboard. Once the yellow light turns off, go to the trunk. Press the button located above the license plate in the center, then lift the trunk lid. You may have to use little force to open the trunk especially during winter.

Q. How many passengers can be accommodated?

A. Comfortably fits up to 4 people! Maximum 5 people.

Q. What type of gas does it require?
A. Just regular gas (87 octane).

Q. Where will I find the car?

A. Location details will be provided in the Getaround app.

Q. What about tolls?

A. Tolls will be billed to you via app once we receive the toll info from the authorities. EZ-Pass device installed in the car.

Q. Why some times airbag light illuminated ?

A. The front seat airbag off light may illuminate if a child seat or bag is placed in the front passenger seat, following Ford safety protocols. The indicator will turn off when an adult is seated or the item is removed from the front passenger seat. Please consult the Ford Fiesta manual for proper child seat use and safety guidelines.

Q. Charging options for devices?

A. Two USB ports. One inside center armrest and another one in front of rear seats.

Q. What if I lose something ?

A. Notify the host through the app. Kindly note that the host is not responsible for the guest's personal belongings. Items if found and not claimed within a week may be considered abandoned and we may discard or donate the item depending on items found.

Q. What if I forgot something in the car after my trip?

A. Option 1: Contact customer care via app and they shall be able to unlock and lock the car remotely if it’s not rented to the next guest at that time. Option 2: Alternatively, you can book a short trip to unlock and lock the car via the app, but for Option 2 if you use, be aware that you will be charged the rate for that trip.
