Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with this rental and especially with the communication with the owner.
I had asked to change the start of the rental to 11:30 am, but the owner told me he was unable to accept this change through Getaround. In the end, we were only able to collect the car at around 12:15 pm.
Communication was difficult from the beginning. The owner had initially agreed to bring the car to the port, but later unexpectedly asked for an additional €30 for this.
Before returning the car, I requested an extension through Getaround. Again, the owner said he was unable to accept it through the platform. We therefore agreed directly that I could return the car later if I brought it back with extra fuel. I kept my part of this agreement and returned the car with 85% fuel instead of 75%.
Nevertheless, I was subsequently charged a €30 late fee.
Getaround has since confirmed to me that the additional fuel supports my account of our agreement and that they will refund the
