This car is NOT allowed to cross the border into Mexico. Our Trust and Safety team will be notified and it will trigger a recovery of the vehicle in assistance with the border patrol.
1. - AFTER YOUR TRIP, PARK IN A LEGAL SPOT
Please be aware of any street sweeping signs and remember to cramp your wheels while parked on the hill. You will be fully responsible for any fines or ticket fees.
2. - GAS MUST BE REFILLED
Gas must be refilled back to the same level that you picked up. If gas is not refilled, we will charge a pro rata amount of gas cost.
3. - CAMPSITE RULE
You must return the car as clean as it was delivered. We like to think of this as the "campsite rule" Leave the campsite as good or better as you found it so the next camper may enjoy it!
4, - NO PET, NO SMOKING OR VAPING
Violators will be pursued for up to the full extent of Getaround's smoking fine. For the enjoyment of everyone, we are forced to utilize professional ozone decontamination when this occurs.

This car smells horrible! Someone smoked many packs of cigarettes in it, then the owner unsuccessfully tried to cover up the smell with bottles of Fabreze. My wife has Ahstma, our family ended up driving the planned 6 hour trip with masks on, I ended up with a sore throat that evening. I messaged the owner immediately pick up, they never responded. The GerAround Customer support were understanding and helpful with a credit towards next rental, they were great!
This car isn't in great shape. It doesn't feel like it's being well cared for and I wouldn't leave San Diego in it. It had some trash shoved in the seats, the buttons were missing from the transceiver. There is also something wrong with the hinge of the trunk door. It will fall down making the trunk not close.
The most annoying thing is that the fuel reader is wrong. It read 85% on pickup, then 95% on dropoff, when it was actually 75% - 100%. This is a 20 gallon tank so stole my money.
The car was very dirty when I got it. There was sand everywhere all over the back seats and the back floor. There was trash shoved under the seat as well. I actually took it to the car wash because I didn't want my friends to be uncomfortable sitting in the back. It drove well and the music and A/C were all fine. Just the fact that it was not clean.
