The car was very dirty on pickup with a broken brake light making it unsafe and illegal to drive.
Having ignored me for the days leading up to the rental, the owner eventually responded and replaced the light more than 2 hours after our pickup time, by which point we had been waiting in the freezing cold and eventually paid for transport to our accommodation.
The owner then refused to drop the car to us, so we had to pay for transport back to the pickup point, having missed a significant chunk of our holiday by this point.
The owner is now ignoring my request for compensation, and Getaround will seemingly do anything to avoid paying out as well.
Other than that the car worked fine and seemed safe enough on the slushy winter roads.
I immediately drove over and fixed the brake light, it was fixed 15-20 minutes after he made me aware of it. I'm sorry you weren't happy with the rental, but I considered that there was no reason for compensation, which getaround also seems to agree with.
