The booking price is the price paid by the driver at booking. It includes:
Note: the booking price doesn’t include extra costs like missing fuel, extra mileage, or penalties.
To calculate the base rate, we add up your daily rate for each day of the rental and apply any available discounts. The base rate includes both your earnings and our service fee.
You set daily rates in the price calendar of your car. Each date in the calendar has its own daily rate.
Access your price calendar by going to Your cars > select the car > “Price for Carshare”
When a car is booked, we add up your daily rates according to the rental dates. This is the first step when calculating the base rate.
Rentals are priced on an hourly basis. Consequently, we compute the proportion of the daily rates spanning each date.
Example: a rental starts on July 4th at 08:00am and ends on July 5th at 06:00pm. The daily rates are $80 for July 4th and $60 on July 5th.
In this situation, the base rate, before discount, is $98. Calculation: 80 / 24 * 16 + 60 / 24 * 18
To stay competitive with professional rental agencies, we automatically apply discounts based on the rental duration:
