For rentals in France you can drive the car in the following countries:

Germany, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Spain (including the Balearic and Canary Islands), mainland France (excluding overseas territories), Italy, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Poland, Hungary, Portugal, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Slovakia, Sweden, and Switzerland.

For rentals in Austria, Belgium, Germany and Spain you can drive the car in the following countries:

Germany, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Spain (including the Balearic and Canary Islands), mainland France (excluding overseas territories), Italy, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Poland, Hungary, Portugal, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Solvenia, and Switzerland.

Make sure your license allows you to drive in the country you wish to visit and that the car you are driving complies with the country's requirements.
