Rideshare Car and Document Requirements
Submitting and Updating Information
To register your car for the Rideshare program, your car must meet the below standards.
- Car must be located in one of our Drive with Uber cities
- Car must have 4 doors & at least 4 seats
- Car must meet the eligibility requirements as set out in our Terms of Service
- Car must meet the local Uber requirements outlined below
To register your car for the RIDESHARE/Drive with Uber program and start receiving rentals from Uber drivers, you must submit the necessary documents to Getaround and be approved by Uber. Open your car dashboard, select the car page that you would like to register for Uber, select the "Document" tab in the left toolbar. Here you will find the necessary documents you need to upload. Once uploaded, Uber will review and approve your documents. You will receive a confirmation email once your car is registered for the RIDESHARE program and you will see RIDESHARE tag applied to the car page.
*Please note if you do not see the “Documents” tab in the left tool bar of the car page, this means your car is not eligible for the RIDESHARE/Drive with Uber Program.
- As of 7/22/2024, the Doc-Collector has been replaced with the NEW Uber Document Upload Tool (in the car page).
Requirements
Car and document requirements vary from market to market. In cities where UBER inspections are needed- virtual inspections are not acceptable. Please check Uber's website to see which inspection vendors are approved. Use this chart to find your particular requirements:
